Aion 2 Gear Transfer Guide for Crafted Upgrades by U4gm

Choosing the right moment to replace equipment can be as important as finding the replacement itself. Players comparing Aion 2 Items after the October 28 patch have more reason to examine their existing gear before spending upgrade materials.

The update adjusted amplification limits for crafted equipment and introduced additional transfer paths between Expedition and Crafted Gear. Those changes make some replacements more practical, but the best choice still depends on the piece you own, the result shown in the transfer screen, and the resources required to finish the upgrade.

What the New Transfer Paths Mean

The newly supported routes include Tier 3 Expedition Gear to Tier 2 Crafted Gear and Tier 2 Expedition Gear to Tier 1 Crafted Gear. In both cases, the crafted destination sits one tier below the Expedition source, giving players another option when a desirable replacement appears.

That does not mean every transfer is automatically worthwhile. A crafted piece may offer appealing attributes or fit a preferred build, while the existing Expedition piece may already have enough amplification to remain useful. Compare the equipment itself as well as the progression shown in the transfer preview.

The patch also adjusted crafted gear amplification limits. Check the current limit for the exact destination piece rather than assuming that every crafted item can reach the same level or retain the same result.

Compare the Full Cost Before You Commit

Start with the amplification level and relevant attributes on the equipped Expedition piece. Then inspect the crafted replacement, including its base values, useful secondary attributes, and maximum amplification. A better base item is not necessarily an immediate improvement if additional materials are needed to restore its practical strength.

Next, open the transfer interface and review the destination level and required materials. Add any expected costs for further upgrades, and compare that total with the cost of continuing to improve the current piece. If the result or price is unclear, wait until the interface provides enough information to make the comparison.

Consider how long each item is likely to stay in your build. A modest gain may not justify a large investment if another replacement is close, while a crafted piece with attributes suited to your character may be worth keeping for longer.

A Practical Replacement Decision

Imagine a player has a Tier 3 Expedition piece at a strong amplification level and obtains a Tier 2 crafted replacement with better attributes for their build. The new transfer route makes the replacement worth investigating, but the item alone does not settle the decision.

Suppose the preview shows a lower resulting amplification level and the player would need a substantial amount of material to reach their preferred target. If the crafted piece offers only a small immediate improvement, keeping the Expedition item while gathering resources could be the more efficient choice. If its attributes provide a meaningful benefit and the upgrade cost is manageable, transferring may instead be worthwhile.

Review the actual preview rather than treating this example as a fixed conversion rate. Whether you are planning upgrades or looking at cheap Aion 2 Items for a future build, a careful comparison can help preserve materials for equipment you intend to use.
